ESAB OK 53.04 (E7016) LMA Electrode
ESAB OK 53.04 (E7016) is a low-hydrogen, basic-coated electrode designed for welding carbon and low-alloy steels. It offers excellent mechanical properties and high crack resistance, making it ideal for a range of demanding applications. Also, it excellent on AC in the vertical position. Its **LMA (Low Moisture Absorption)** coating ensures better arc stability and weld quality by minimizing hydrogen pickup. It has very good running characteristics that produces low amount of spatter loss and a thin slag, which is easy to remove. For root runs in single V joints welding on DC- is recommended because of the cooler weld pool.
This electrode is perfect for structural welding, shipbuilding, and heavy-duty fabrication, providing clean welds with minimal spatter. It is versatile, working effectively in both vertical and horizontal positions, and is designed for AC and DC+ welding, ensuring reliable performance across various setups.
Key Features of ESAB OK 53.04
- Low Moisture Absorption (LMA): Minimizes hydrogen absorption to prevent cracking and porosity, ensuring stronger, cleaner welds.
- Versatile Applications: Suitable for welding in shipbuilding, structural fabrication, and heavy-duty steel construction.
- Consistent Performance: Provides smooth, stable arc performance with minimal spatter, ideal for critical welding tasks.
- Crack Resistance: The low-hydrogen coating offers superior crack resistance, therefore reducing the risk of weld defects.
