Cast Iron Electrodes

Cast iron electrodes are specially designed welding rods used for repairing and joining cast iron materials. These electrodes are typically coated with flux to stabilize the arc and minimize contamination during the welding process. The electrodes often contain nickel or a combination of nickel and iron, providing good weldability and reducing the risk of cracking and brittleness, which are common issues when welding cast iron. They are ideal for applications requiring strong, machinable welds, such as repairing cracks in cast iron engine blocks, pipes, and heavy machinery. Cast iron stick electrodes are suitable for welding in all positions and are widely used in maintenance, repair, and fabrication work.
