Stick Electrodes

Stick electrodes are also known as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) electrodes. They are consumable rods coated with flux that are used in the stick welding process. These electrodes create an electric arc between the electrode and the metal workpiece, melting both to form a strong weld. The flux coating provides a protective gas shield and slag covering, which protects the weld pool from atmospheric contamination and helps stabilize the arc.

There are various types of stick electrodes, such as E6010, E6011, E6013, E7018, and more, each suited for different metals, welding positions, and conditions. These electrodes provide flexibility for welding a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. They are commonly used in construction, repair, and maintenance due to their versatility and ability to perform well in outdoor and windy conditions.
